My client, a prominent player in currency conversion, is actively seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Analyst to join their Central London team. This pivotal role involves contributing to the company's commitment to financial integrity and compliance within the dynamic realm of currency conversion.

Responsibilities:

  • Policy and Procedure Development: Creating and updating AML policies and procedures to reflect regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Monitoring and Surveillance: Conducting ongoing monitoring and surveillance of transactions and customer behavior to identify unusual or suspicious activities.
  • Risk Assessment: Conducting risk assessments to identify and evaluate the potential AML risks associated with the institution's products, services, and customer base.
  • Reporting and Communication: Ensuring that suspicious activities are reported to relevant authorities, and communicating with regulators as necessary.
  • Independent Testing and Validation: Performing independent testing and validation of AML controls to ensure their effectiveness and compliance with regulations.
About You:

• Language Skills: Proficiency in Mandarin is vital.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in the AML space, preferably within the financial services sector.
• Knowledge Base: Familiarity with AML and fraud risk controls, regulatory requirements, and market practices.
• AML Expertise: Demonstrated expertise in AML with a focus on regulatory compliance.
• Data Analysis: Proficiency in data analysis techniques and tools; SQL and Python knowledge.
• Communication Skills: Strong communication and reporting skills.
• Detail-Oriented: Capability to work with large datasets while maintaining attention to detail.
• Team Player: Collaborative with the ability to work independently.
• Adaptability: Open to change, committed to continuous learning, and future-oriented in approach.
