12m contract HR Manager/HRBP - 'creative' manufacturing, £50k, flex, Central London. (ID:17006)

Our 'high end' manufacturing client is seeking a CIPD L5 HR Manager/BP to join their team. Working within a family feel support function of 20pp (50pp in total), this is 12 month (some flex) contract, office based Mon-Fri.
This will be a busy and varied role with the priority focusing on HR but will require additional support to the wider function. Reporting to a very supportive boss, duties will include;
• Direct line manager to the Office Coordinator and Receptionist
• Supporting line managers with all HR matters
• Maintaining employee records using our HR Information system, Iris HR Professional
• Producing and sending all HR related correspondence (both electronic and paper)
• Maintaining the Company Handbook and other policies in line with employment law updates
• Managing leaver processes and paperwork
• Managing recruitment, selection, inductions, onboarding and probations
• Managing the annual appraisal process including producing all paperwork and supporting managers and employees
• Working with the General Manager and pensions to ensure accurate payroll data each month
• Identifying and organising all training and development requirements
• Handling employee relations matters with legal advice as required
• Overseeing absence management processes with line managers
• Producing, analysing and presenting reports and KPIs
• Internal communications including company updates and quarterly staff newsletter
• Representing HR on the GDPR committee
• Organising regular management meetings and producing agendas and minutes
• Oversee some facilities, utilities and health & safety functions
• Managing credit card expenses and VAT receipts
• Any other duties and projects as required by the Managing Director
Relevant experience is essential which includes line management. A proactive, professional and team player attitude are also essential for the role, lots of common sense, a positive and friendly personality.
