Private Family Housekeeper

Based in Hampstead 

7 - 6.30 pm


• Maintain the cleanliness and order of all bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, living rooms, and other common areas.

• Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and appliances. Look after the furniture and notify the principle immediately if anything gets damaged.

• Prepare breakfast for the family.

• Vacuum and mop floors.

• Clean windows and mirrors.

• Make beds and change linens.

• Do laundry and ironing, coordinate dry cleaning when necessary (keeping track of all the garments that go out to the dry cleaners).

• Take out the trash and recycle.

• Complete other household tasks as assigned.

• Clean the kitchen thoroughly, including the dishwasher, furniture, and specific cupboards on designated days.

• Prepare shopping list and do groceries shopping.

• Clean the garage, the front door, and the front of the house. Check the courtyard is clean too.

• Maintain security measures by responding to the doorbell and phone, and ensuring doors are locked.

• Coordinate with other staff members for shopping, maintenance, and household needs.

The ideal candidate:

• Previous experience as a housekeeper in a large and busy household.

• Ability to follow instructions and work independently.

• Excellent time management and organizational skills.

• Strong communication and coordination abilities.

• Flexibility and adaptability to changing needs and schedules.

• Attention to detail and a proactive approach to maintaining a clean and tidy environment.

• Respect for privacy and confidentiality.

• Honesty and reliability.
