Established Wealth Management firm based in central London are currently recruiting an experienced People/HR Manager to join a successful firm of 100 staff on a part time contract basis for 16 months joining at the end of November. You will work alongside the existing People Manager who has been with the firm for over 15 years, highly professional and super organised, on hand to provide an extensive handover for 4-5 months before leaving for maternity leave at which point you will cover the role on a standalone basis with the support of an external HR Consultancy the firm have used for years. The company culture is extremely supportive, welcoming and sociable with regular staff events and socials, career progression and development is valued and encouraged across the firm.

Salary: £60,000 full time equivalent - £48,000 pro rata (depending on experience)

Hours: 8:30am – 5:30pm, part time - 24-28 hours per week/4 days, flexibility regarding days you are office based with a minimum of 2 days office based. A full time candidate could also be considered.

Key duties:

• Providing standalone HR support, key contact for all staff regarding HR queries
• Advising senior management on people strategy to get the best out of their teams
• Recruitment, onboarding, performance management and offboarding
• Dealing with employee relations – liaising with the outsourced HR firm for complicated enquiries
• Preparing payroll to submit to outsourced payroll company
• HR Admin including updating HRM system
• Driving engagement and well-being

Ideal candidate:

• 5-7 years experience as a People/HR Manager
• Ideally CIPD level 5/7 qualified or equivalent
• Proficient in UK employment law and compliance
• Experienced and capable individual who can take control of all aspects of the HR lifecycle including payroll (preparing to send to payroll firm to process, not undertaking themselves)
• Great listener, empathetic
• Enjoys working on HR strategy but also very hands on and happy to undertake HR admin
• Social, friendly, approachable, diligent, bright, proactive and switched on, calm under pressure!!
