Are you a detail-driven finance professional with a passion for accuracy, organisation, and supporting a high-performing team? We’re looking for a proactive AAT-qualified Finance Administrator to play a key role in keeping our finance operations running smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

As a Finance Administrator, you’ll be at the centre of our financial processes, supporting the Finance Manager/Director across a wide range of essential tasks:

Accounts Payable & Receivable

• Process supplier invoices, credit notes, and staff expenses with accuracy.

• Raise and issue sales invoices to clients.

• Carry out credit control, including monitoring and chasing outstanding debts.

Reconciliations

• Perform detailed reconciliations for bank accounts, credit cards, petty cash, and financial ledgers.

Financial Reporting Support

• Assist with month-end and year-end close.

• Prepare data for management accounts, budgets, and VAT returns.

Payroll Assistance

• Support monthly payroll preparation, including mileage and expense claim checks.

Systems & Data Management

• Maintain accurate financial records using Xero and Microsoft Excel.

• Update and manage supplier and customer information within our systems.

General Administration

• Respond to finance queries from internal and external stakeholders.

• Manage digital and physical records.

• Provide ad-hoc admin support to the wider finance team as needed.


Additional Responsibilities

• Support routine HR administration (contracts, probation letters, promotions, salary updates).

• Assist with recruitment tasks, including logging applications, scheduling interviews, sending exercises, and collating feedback.


Essential Skills & Qualifications

We’re looking for someone who brings both technical confidence and a positive, can-do attitude:

• AAT Level 2 or Level 3 is essential.

• 1–2 years’ experience in a finance or finance administration role.

• Strong numerical ability and excellent attention to detail.

• Confident user of Microsoft Office, with strong Excel skills.

• Experience using Xero accounting software.


Soft Skills

• Highly organised with strong time-management skills and the ability to prioritise deadlines.

• Clear and confident communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Friendly, proactive, and collaborative.

• Strong ethics and professionalism when handling confidential information.
