You will be responsible for the smooth day-to-day running of finance administration and transactional accounting activities, supporting the Finance Manager/Director and wider business.


Key Responsibilities: 

Accounts Payable & Receivable
  • Processing supplier invoices, credit notes, and staff expense claims
  • Raising and issuing sales invoices
  • Performing credit control and chasing outstanding payments
Reconciliations
  • Completing bank, credit card, petty cash, and ledger reconciliations
  • Investigating and resolving discrepancies accurately and promptly
Month-End & Reporting Support
  • Assisting with month-end and year-end close activities
  • Preparing data for management accounts, budgets, and VAT returns
Payroll Support
  • Supporting monthly payroll processes, including mileage and expense claims

Systems & Data Management

  • Maintaining accurate financial records using Xero and Microsoft Excel
  • Managing supplier and customer records within finance systems

General Finance Administration

  • Acting as a point of contact for internal and external finance queries
  • Maintaining digital and physical records
  • Providing ad-hoc support to the Finance Manager/Director
Ad Hoc HR duties
  • Supporting routine HR administration (contracts, probation correspondence, salary changes)
  • Assisting with recruitment processes, including scheduling interviews and collating feedback

Must Have's:
  • AAT Level 2 or Level 3 qualified
  • 1–2 years’ experience in a finance or finance administration role
  • Strong numerical skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Confident user of Microsoft Excel and Xero
